Wells Fargo was named the presenting sponsor for the 11th Annual Spencer Martin Memorial Bike Ride for Habitat that took place Sunday, May 5th. The Bike Ride is Habitat’s largest fundraising special event honoring the late Spencer Martin, a long-time volunteer and board member for Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity.
“Our Wells Fargo team was proud to get on their bikes and support Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity,” said Kevin Engelman, Community Bank district manager for Wells Fargo. “Our company is a long-time supporter of Habitat across this region. The work they do provides decent housing to deserving families and gives people a chance to actively participate in the growth of this community.”
“The funds raised from our Bike event allow us to provide housing to families who otherwise would not have the opportunity for homeownership, said Karen Evans Kaufer, executive director of Wyoming Valley Habitat for Humanity. We are delighted to have Wells Fargo partner with us in our mission to eliminate poverty housing. Providing this support helps the entire community by improving neighborhoods one house at a time.”
